House Museum of Aybek is a research and educational center for the study and promotion of Uzbek literature, and the exhibition is a visual basis for the knowledge of the life and creative path of the writer.  For someone it is a place of pilgrimage for people ( from ancient times the place where famous people lived, became a kind of Shrine). In one of the districts of Tashkent called "working town" there is a house, which is especially valuable for representatives of science and culture.

Here, in this house Aybek lived and worked from 1940-1968. Aybek - Musa Tashmukhamedov (1905-1968) is an outstanding writer, a major classic of Uzbek literature, an unsurpassed master of great prose, poet and scientist, translator and publicist, academician, laureate of the State prize of the USSR and the UzSSR, author of numerous novels. The name of Aybek is associated with the development and formation of Uzbek literature of the twentieth century. His name is widely known not only in our country, but also far beyond its borders. The best works of the writer entered the gold Fund of Soviet and world literature.

Living room

This is the living room, the walls of which are decorated with paintings by famous artists (Ural Tansykbaev's work is called "Spring" presented to the writer in 1955 in honour of his fiftieth birthday). Central place is the work of Zarifa Saidnasyrova "Mausoleum of Ahmad Yasawi" in 1925, it is also the birthplace of Zarifa in Turkestan.

The room is as detailed and preserved as it was during the life of the writer. The house was built in 1957 on the project of Zarifa Saidnasyrova and the decoration of the ganch on the perimeter, was made by famous masters of Uzbekistan, who designed the theater "Navoi".

Writer's work office

In this room you can see the desktop of the writer and his personal things: the typewriter, glasses, pen, ink-bottle, camping knife, skullcap writer, along the table by the wall hung pictures of his wife, Zarifa Saidnasyrova. 

The photo above the clock was taken immediately after the war, with the poet Vladimir Lugovsky. Just above the photo from the celebration of the sixtieth anniversary of the writer, next to the Presidium of the Academy of Sciences. Even higher is a photo of Pakistan writer Faiz Ahmad Faiz visiting Aybek. Also on the table you can see a rubber ball for hand exercise in the years of illness of the writer.

In the far corner of the wall is a portrait of Zarifa Saidnasyrova.

This portrait was created after the writer's death, a talented painter Margarita Shuvalova, especially for the exhibition of works of Zarifa. Screen reader support is included.

On the table – there are works of Alisher Navoi, gifted by his father-in-law in 1937, Saidnasir Mirjalilov, after birth of his daughter. At that time, it was a royal gift, because Aybek was just collecting materials for the “Navoi” novel. This manuscript was rewritten in 1884.

On the wall you can see a few small works – this is the last work of Zarifa, and the portrait in the center was created by Aziza Mamatova.

In the center of the room there are an easel, paints and brushes which where used by Zarifa Saidnasyrova.

Zarifa Saidnasyrova drew in the childhood, after husband death and last years of her life.

Zarif Saidnasyrova (1908-1986) played a major role in the immortalisation of the memory of the writer. She was the wife and the creative ally of Aybek. She is the founder of Museum, the compiler of the first and most complete bibliography of the writer - honoured worker of science, the author of a number of textbooks and scientific works on chemistry, the first artist and the first chemist among Uzbek women.

Literary memorial House Museum of Aybek is based on the decision of the Council of Ministers of the Uzbek SSR in 1980 (Decree of the Communist party of the Uzbek SSR №148 from 23.02.1980 g) the opening of the Museum took place on 9 September 1985 in connection with the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the writer. This year the whole country celebrated the anniversary of Aybek, the anniversary celebrations were held in all corners of the vast country, first in Tashkent and then in Moscow.
