The Shozo Shimamoto Association was founded in Italy and Japan in 2007 by Rosanna Chiessi, Laura Montanari and Giuseppe Morra, and is based in the eighteenth-century Palazzo Spinelli di Tarsia in Naples.

With the establishment of the Association, alongside the artistic production, a path of critical and historiographical recognition of the Master's work is undertaken.
