Archduke was born on December 18, 1863 he was the prince of Austria-Hungary. He also had a wife called  Sophie, Duchess of Hohenberg. He and his wife were assassinated on June 28, 1914.  They were assassinated by Gavrilo princip a serbian nationalist. The reason for the assassination was that Austria-Hungary was a place that did not like to be ruled therefore they sent Gavrilo to kill them also this is  one of the reasons WW1 started. The time he and his wife  was assassinated was on Sunday, 28 June 1914, at approximately 10:45 am.There was also a bomb thrown at them but it missed them and hit a car behind them. Then Gavrilo walked out of the crowd and shot Archduke and Sophie. Sophie was killed first Archduke told her not to leave him and go she still had to take care of their kids but then archduke got shot he said make sure sophie and my kids are alright and with that he passed away.
