Ο Κούρος, για τις γυναίκες αντίστοιχα Κόρες, είναι αγάλματα -που εξελίσσονται σε αγαλματίδια μετά την μέση αρχαϊκή περίοδο 580 π.Χ. και επέκεινα- που δεσπόζουν στην ελληνική τέχνη. Οι Κούροι είναι γυμνοί, ενώ οι κόρες είναι ντυμένες, όπως η Πεπλοφόρος κόρη. Τους Κούρους μπορεί κανείς να τους γνωρίσει και να τους μελετήσει κυρίως στο Αρχαιολογικό Μουσείο Αθηνών και τις Κόρες στο Μουσείο Ακρόπολης.
