Inspired by my son's favorite color I decided to dedicate this gallery of collections by different artist using different mediums and expressing blue with different emotions.

Garden Blue, Kim Sunhyung, 2013, From the collection of: National Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art, Korea
I love and chose this piece because of how it shows the same technique but on different backgrounds. Therefore using negative space to change the way the art piece looks.
Kasimov bride. From a series of high society girl, Katya Medvedeva, 2004 - 2004, From the collection of: Museum of Fine Arts in Peredelkino
This art piece caught my attention because it is a unique way of expressing this Kasimov bride by using different patterns in the clothing.
Irises, Katya Medvedeva, 2008 - 2008, From the collection of: Museum of Fine Arts in Peredelkino
This art piece is among one of my favorites. I love how the artist uses different shades and tints of blue but also adds in purple and green into the painting being complementary colors they pop.
Let Not the Hand of a Giver Be Scanty, Katya Medvedeva, 2008 - 2008, From the collection of: Museum of Fine Arts in Peredelkino
This piece brings to me a lot of peace and serenity. It feels like i am on a cloud in the night sky looking through a window. It is very peaceful!
Emy Mariani, Caseros, Buenos Aires (2013), EMY MARIANI, From the collection of: Buenos Aires Graffiti
This piece is a bit alarming and gives a 3d feel, It uses different tints and shades to use the negative and positive space to create that feeling. It also comes to my attention that its streets art.
The Starry Night, Vincent van Gogh, 1889, From the collection of: MoMA The Museum of Modern Art
Of course Van Gogh's The Starry Night could not be missed in my collection. While he brings in different colors to his piece blue is a very dominant. The my eye transitions throughout his whole piece
The Cathedral, František Kupka, 1912 - 1913, From the collection of: Museum Kampa
I chose this art piece The Cathedral because it reminds me of mosaic at a church and it uses the color blue vividly throughout mixed with other colors like red, white, gold, and brown.
Celacanto Provoca Maremoto, Adriana Varejão, 2004/2008, From the collection of: Inhotim
I find these tiles to be a master piece. The way the artist arranged the different designs into the tile work is what I loved best. It is a great use of tints and shades of blue.
Moorish Bathers, Woodall, George ((1850-1925)), Maker, 1898 - 1898, From the collection of: Corning Museum of Glass
I also chose this piece because of the great ways tints and shades are used. The way the artist continues to use blue throughout I think is really lovely.
A Field of Blue Bonnets, Late Afternoon Sunlight, JULIAN ONDERDONK, 1919/1920, From the collection of: Panhandle-Plains Historical Museum
Blue is used throughout this amazing piece through the Blue Bonnets and of course the sky. I just find it so lovely how the color is used.
Sunlight in the blue room, Anna Ancher, 1891, From the collection of: Skagens Museum
Not only is the actual room blue but different things in it that the artist decided to leave blue. different shades used so objects are not lost. Such as the chair cushions and the girls dress.
Blue-Green Land, Xu Lei, 2008/2012, From the collection of: Today Art Museum
As I continue to move through my blue collection this one stirs great emotion in me. I feel the horse is trying to belong in the scene but is ever so mellowly different from his sorroundings.
Blue magpie on maple branch, Artist: Utagawa Hiroshige, 1797-1858, From the collection of: Smithsonian's National Museum of Asian Art
This is another piece that seems lovely to me. It uses negative and positive space equally and very amazingly to put such an amazing composition.
Abstraction (the Blue Mountain), Christian Rohlfs, 1912, From the collection of: Kunstpalast
I feel that this abstraction is different to the rest of my collection. I believe so because since it makes my eyes move around very quickly it makes me feel a bit anxious.
This is a very peaceful piece. It feels like it is a waterfall.
Vincent van Gogh in Blue, Kang, Hyung Koo, 2007, From the collection of: Korean Art Museum Association
Of course I leave one of the best ones for last. This piece painted of Van Gogh is so beautifully made with different tints and hues of blue. My attention is directly captured by his eyes.
