I work with self-representation in mountain environments as a tool to strengthen my bonds with nature. This piece takes place in River Yuspe, a recreation and entertainment area that I visited my whole life, which now is affected by the construction of a highway that goes through it. Based on my bond with otherness, I can see myself affected: body and space tension the natural and personal, merge, oppose, fuse and separate. I build new landscapes looking for ways in which the human is transformed until it dissolves or camouflages with the unhuman. I find it imperative to question the implications of human actions in the planet to think about the serious problems that we face as species, while also exploring ideas and possibilities to generate a change. Within this context, art becomes a weapon of resistance.
