Photograph album titled "EMDEN Souvenir photos". These eighteen photos are said to have been taken by the medical officer on board the HMS CADMUS at Cocos Island after the EMDEN'S scuttling and some claim to have been taken from the captain’s cabin on board the EMDEN. HMS CADMUS had been given the task to return to the wreck of the EMDEN and dispose of the dead crew members who were still on board.
However one image at least - although labelled as the SYDNEY's guns, is incorrect, as it is not a single mount gun. This has been identified by Naval Heritage Society researchers as possibly an image of HMS Neptune. Other images appear to be genuine, although there are some errors in the captions.
