In a dark, ascetic interior, the figures of three monks in brown habits are depicted. Two of them are seated at a table, while the third – standing on the left – is pouring beer from a copper jug into a mug. The monk sitting directly facing the viewer rubs his hands contentedly; his neighbor is slicing a loaf of bread. On the table, pewter plates are arranged – one holding a sliced ham, next to a bunch of radishes on the countertop. On the wall to the right, an image of Our Lady of Ostra Brama is depicted. The monks' faces are ruddy, with full cheeks and double chins, wearing expressions of satisfaction. In the lower right corner, the signature: "J.C. Moniuszko 1902."
