The District Museum of Kalisz Region (Muzeum Okręgowe Ziemi Kaliskiej) preserves and showcases the cultural, historical, and natural heritage of Kalisz and its surrounding region. Its diverse collections span archaeology, ethnography, history, and art. Visitors can explore a gallery of works by Tadeusz Kulisiewicz, along with his reconstructed studio.
The museum operates in three locations: the main building in the heart of Kalisz, at 12 Kościuszki Street; the Archaeological Reserve in Zawodzie, a site of early medieval significance; and the Literary Branch in Russów, located in the historic manor house where Polish writer Maria Dąbrowska was born.
Through exhibitions, education, and research, the museum is dedicated to preserving and sharing the rich heritage of one of Poland’s oldest cities.
