Working on my David was like lowering my defences and starting to explore a hidden side of me. I am used to appearing strong, combative, with no weakness. But this opportunity made me understand that sometimes you need to take off the armour that you wear every day. You don’t need to be ashamed or be afraid of your battle scars: they are what has forged our character, that make us what we are, and we should be proud of them, even if only because we have faced them and overcome them.
My David speaks of the sensation of an unfillable hole, of a chasm which appears without warning and consumes you, becoming bigger and bigger, darker. When it says goodbye, a part of you goes with it, leaving you forever. The abyss.
Then the real challenge starts: a race against time to stop vanishing completely. You need to regain your balance, heal the wounds and refill the holes. A new sensation is born, or rather re-emerges, triggering an internal recovery mechanism that expands towards the world.
Nothing will be the same. A new beauty, new strength: a new life!
