The Manor of Cehel was originally an estate acquired by Luis Zapata in the Alpujarra (Granada) and entailed on his son, the knight commander Francisco Zapata, in 1512. This map shows the manor when the property passed to Pedro José Félix de Silva Meneses Zapata, Count of Cifuentes, who had won a lawsuit on the entailed estate in 1690. Zapata family.
