Eastern Mass. St. Ry. 4387 (Boston Suburbs) at Seashore Trolley Museum
#303 is shown on the loop at Talbot Park. Note that open cars like this were very popular on hot summer days in 1901 when the car was built, and tolerable during a summer rainstorm as canvas curtains could be pulled down to provide some shelter from the rain and wind. However in New England, the cars were useless during the rest of the year, so that street railways had to obtain a separate fleet of cars for those months. Accordingly, cars like this were very rare by the time that the Museum was created in 1939.
