Sebastian Errazuriz is a Chilean-born, New York based artist and designer who creates singular and provocative works in a variety of areas and disciplines. With a black and white moving image of a repeating yawn positioned at the city's touristic core, "A Pause in the City That Never Sleeps" stands in contrast to the outstanding, colorful Times Square advertisements and acts as a disruptive comment on contemporary society, needs, and frustrations. A simple, everyday habit is used as a way to engage visitors visually and physically (the yawn's chain reaction) while commenting on contemporary overexposure to information and its consequences.
