53% girls in the age-group 5-9 years are illeterate. A nation that is on the cusp of being a world leader cannot afford to have uneducated females. Afterall Studeis have proved that educated mothers are able to ensure the education of their next generation thus having a multiplier effect. It's crticial for any nation to ensure its girls are educated for them to grow economically and socially.
