It represents about 4% of our country’s GDP and about 14% of our export earnings every year. On the other hand, India is home to over 30% of world’s poor children living in extreme poverty. These children have no access to basic essentials including clothing. The glaring gap is astonishing! Avantika proposes a cloth subsidy for the poorest of children in India.
