A Texas Streetcar in Snow

Dallas Railway & Terminal Co. 434 at Seashore Trolley Museum

This was the second car to be acquired pursuant to National Collection criteria. It was surely not anybody's personal favorite, since no one involved had ever even seen this car or been to Dallas. But this donation was specifically sought because of the special features of this car. Birney's first design, widely used, first extensive application of stressed skin construction.
