Mountainous and inhospitable landscape covered in snow intersected a narrow path overgrown with juicy grass and flowers. On that path naked man and woman embraced. Overcast bluish-black sky gives even greater contrast to deserted landscape.

Stjepan Vecenaj was born December 24, 1928 at Gola, in Podravina. He finished four grades of elementary school. He paints since 1954 - inspired by his brother Ivan. His the first public exhibition was in 1957 at Gola. He created independent and distinctive artistic world and the term without major fluctuations and qualitative leaps and falls. He calmly records it every day in my life - washing becomes a picturesque motif in warm colors and compliance figures and landscapes.
