This Nativity combines the themes of the Adoration of the Shepherds and the Adoration of the Kings, utilizing colorful oriental costumes that recall Carpaccio. The composition includes a rich bestiary, a kind of condensed earthly paradise which Mansueti constructs along still fundamentally Gothic lines.
