A.R.(Allan) Edwards became the first Western Australian player to score a century in each innings 103 & 105 playing for Western Australia against Queensland in a Sheffield Shield match played at the W.A.C.A. ground 16-20 December 1950. R.H. (Harry) Price picked up 5 wickets in each innings and Western Australia won by 19 runs.
