With a long and proud history as an iconic domestic and international cricket venue, the Western Australian Cricket Association Ground, has provided a stage for many historical sporting moments over the years.

Western Australia’s home of cricket officially opened in 1893, with the first cricket matches held on turf wickets in February 1894.

The iconic cricket venue renowned around the world for pace and bounce is woven into the history and heritage of the Western Australian community, with many events held at the famous Ground over the years, including football, trotting, speedway, tennis, baseball and music concerts to name a few.

The Ground is now home to the state’s elite cricket teams, the WA Men's and Women's State teams, and Perth Scorchers, as well as the Western Australian Cricket Association’s (WACA) administration.

The WACA Ground has cultivated some of the world’s best cricketers and provided a high performance environment to produce past, present and future champions of the game.

A gallery of cricket greats graces the famous WACA Ground wicket, which includes icons such as Sir Donald Bradman, Graham McKenzie, Dennis Lillee, Rod Marsh, Kim Hughes, Zoe Goss, Justin Langer, Nicole Bolton, Adam Gilchrist, and Geoff Marsh.
