La scultura raffigura due ragazze intente a scegliere gli Amori proposti loro da una fattucchiera. Il gruppo in porcellana fu ideato da Christian Gottlieb Juechtzer tra l’agosto 1785 e il gennaio 1786. Figlio di un pittore della manifattura di Meissen, affiancò Kaendler dal 1769, diventando capo modellatore della manifattura nel 1794.
