Vehari is an agricultural center located in Punjab, on the right bank of the River Sutlej, about 100 km from the city of Multan.
The name Vehari means a low-lying settlement by a floodwater channel. The main spoken language of the district is Punjabi.
Known for its crops, Vehari’s pastoral land is famous for its cotton, sugarcane and mangoes.
