Amerikkka, by Cildo Meireles, was conceived for an exhibition held in 1991 in Madrid that celebrated 500 years of the “discovery” and arrival of Europeans in America.

Composed of two platforms with around 20,000 eggs and 70,000 projectiles suspended at an angle, the artwork brings a sense of danger to those willing to walk inside it.
