Image of an Afro-Peruvian woman holding a child of approximately two or three years old, who appears to be wearing a dress for her baptism. Observing the peculiarities of the child's attire, it can be seen that much of it has been placed on a tall piece of furniture and also covers a good part of the nursemaid's dress.
The portrait of the children with their mistresses was an essential photograph in the family album and a sign of social prestige.
