The Route of the Museums of Caesaraugusta

The Route of the Museums of Caesaraugusta
Zaragoza, Spain

Complete straight-edged ataifor shape with pointed lip, curved wall, hemispherical body and bottom with ring foot. It is made in oxidizing firing and has a glazed surface both inside and outside, presenting interior decoration from a curved drip or churreton in manganese oxide.

According to the research of Aránzazu Mendívil, both the shape and the decorative motif are very common in the Peninsula, finding parallels for example in the Albarracín Castle in chronologies from the 11th century and in the Paseo de la Independencia in contexts prior to the suburb.
