Backpacker - the marsupial frog, Gastrotheca ovifera

Frogs pursue a great number of very different reproduction strategies, which can be grouped into 39 basic types. One of the most remarkable breeding strategies can be observed at the marsupial frog Gastrotheca ovifera. It carries its offspring around in a dorsal skin sac until they fully develop into froglets.
