Yu Wen-fu’s ingenuity and innovativeness can be seen through the use of a combination of bamboo and feathers in his work. He decorates the wall of a police station, transforming it into a warm white bamboo gourd. A sensor is installed at the entrance so that when people pass through it, the sound of cicadas can be heard. This is a warm and pleasant sound to greet the police officers going about their duties and the members of the pubic requiring assistance. Despite the hot summer days, busy public business, and the hustle and bustle of the city, one corner of the metropolis offers a natural resting spot.
