Basketry section

Basketry section explore in details the art of producing woven objects by means of flexible plant materials. This art has been in practice from the ancient times and it is the most remarkable artistice production in ancient Rwanda. The section also provides details on two types of basketry: decorative basketry which is mainly produced by women and utility basketry consisting of household utensils which is produced by both men and women.
