Batteries

Batteries of various types were sold in the Netherlands under the Witte Kat(English: White Cat) brand name from 1926 to 2009.The small cylindrical 1.5 volt batteries were used in products such as torches.The 6 volt block battery was used for lighting.The 1.5 volt zinc–air battery requires oxygen from the air to work.Today, batteries of this type are used as a button cell in hearing aids.
