Pan Xin-Quan’s creation is inspired by everyday objects. He adopts bicycles as the objects through which he depicts the whimsical characteristic of lines. He borrows the linear element of a bicycle, and employs a mix of tight and loose structures to enhance the rhythm of the image. The two-dimensional drawing also adds an extra sense of modernity to the scene. For the artist, ubiquitous bicycles are records of the sprightly pace of life and represent the moment of pleasure most worthy of preservation.
