The source of the name “AME SUDDEN SUGI” refers to the phase from a classical Chinese poem. For the decoration, a spatula is effectively used so that the fluting applied to the body and the lip trimmed dauntlessly give the form a rich move. It is entirely covered with a transparent glaze including a cobalt, a copper, a black glaze to create a tasteful scenery. It looks as if the craggy mountains appear after the heavy rain is blown over. The work is one of the “Ha no HA” series.
