The Courret Photographic Archive (1863-1935) of photographic negatives represents the largest of its kind in Peru. It is composed of original images that were later printed and reproduced as illustrations in publications (books and magazines) of the time, as well as in public and private collections. It has a total of 56,359 glass plate negatives of multiple formats (9 x 12cm, 13 x 18cm, 18 x 24cm and 21 x 27cm); in addition to 11 handwritten books as an inventory of the photographic pieces, considered unique, original and authentic documents due to their materiality and content. Part of this great collection has been digitized by BNP and made available to the public through its https://bibliotecadigital.bnp.gob.pe/home platform.
