An uigwe recording the process of making Injo’s royal tomb, Jangneung, in 1649 (Year of Hyojong’s coronation). Jangneung was constructed as a twin tomb with his queen Inyeol of Han family (1594-1635). The uigwe writes down the complicated ritual from the death of the king to the construction of the tomb and the number of people and commodities used for the work. Statues of four guarding animals are also described. This uigwe was originally enshrined in an archive in Jeokseong Fortress, but was opened in 1918 by Wangjik Yi. Jangneung is now situated in Wuncheonli, Paju city in Gyeonggi province.
