An uigwe recording the whole process of Queen Dowager Sinjeong’s (1808-1890) 80th birthday. Queen Sinjeong was a queen of Ikjong and a queen mother of Heongjong, and was known as ‘Queen Dowager Jo’. After Cheoljong passed away without an heir, as a queen mother, she adopted Gojong and made him ascend the throne. As it was her wish to have the party simple, the dancers were not selected outside seoul, and the number of guards were reduced from 55 to 12.

- Korean caption: 신정왕후(神貞王后, 1808~1890)의 팔순 잔치의 전체 과정을 기록한 의궤. 신정왕후는 익종(翼宗)의 비이자 헌종(憲宗)의 어머니로 일반인들에게 ‘조대비’로 알려져 있다. 신정왕후는 철종이 후사 없이 죽자 대왕대비로서 고종을 양자로 삼아 왕위에 오르게 한 주역이다. 이 잔치를 검소하게 치르라는 신정왕후의 요청으로 가무를 담당하는 무녀를 지방에서 차출하지 않았고 의장도 55병(柄) 에서 12병으로 줄였다.
