Bowl

Bowl with a spherical and domed body, with an invading edge with a rounded lip and a somewhat convex base. It has green glazing on the outside and feather glaze on the inside. The glass on the exterior returns 6.7 mm towards the interior. As decoration, it has gallon applications and incised lines.

According to studies carried out by A. Mendívil, parallels of this piece have been found in Calatrava la Vieja (Ciudad Real), in levels from the second half of the 19th century. IX; Montefrío (Granada); Tolmo de Minateda (Albacete); Villaviciosa de Odón (Madrid); or the Posada de la Herradura (Córdoba), with emiral chronology from the late 9th and early 10th centuries. Elena Salinas adds that perhaps this type of decoration copies glass models that were introduced to the peninsula by Ziryáb (x. IX) with the purpose of replacing the gold tableware and which would later be reproduced in mold in Madinat al-Zahhra.

It would have an estimated capacity of around 0.341 liters.
