Buen Retiro Vase

Porcelain vase decorated with two figurative scenes framed in ovals and linked by blue garlands. The vase is based in ancient shapes, and the oval scenes are influenced by greek vase paints or imitate cameos, typical of the neoclassical style to which this piece belongs. Buen Retiro Royal Factory of Porcelain (Madrid), founded by Charles III in 1765.
