A puppet used as the role of Osome, the daughter of a large merchant house, in the scene of Nozaki Village of Shimpan Utazaimon, a drama of contemporary life by Chikamatsu Hanji. There is a Oe Minosuke’s brand on this puppet. The refined making style of Oe Minosuke corresponded with the taste for intellectual performance of bunraku in modern and current times. This material was a present form Kiritake Monjuro with his heartful appreciation to his supporter when he was a member of Sanwakai. Monjuro had a great influence even in the Sanwakai, and also carried out his responsibility as a leader.
