This cabinet has seven drawers and a door in the centre (which
in turn encloses five small drawers), decorated with small engraved ivory
panels on which are depicted landscapes and an allegorical figure. The origin of the cabinet is uncertain -
the structure may well be of Lombard manufacture while the ivory inlay was
commonly found in the workshops of Naples. Built in the mid-nineteenth century with older parts, the
work is a perfect example of Renaissance Revival taste.
