A coffee pot that is part of an art déco coffee set decorated with blue and white rectangles framed by two gilt lines that also decorate the handles, lids and spouts. The set comprises a coffee pot, sugar bowl, milk jug, cup and saucer.

The influence of the different aesthetic trends at the end of the 19th century and the early 20th century is clearer in La Cartuja's production which is famed for being artistic ceramics, but those that are closer to --and applied in-- decorative and luxury arts, like art déco, can also be appreciated in less exceptional pieces like this tea and coffee set. The variety of stamps is difficult to explain other than that they cover the same time-frame. We have learnt that in the context of the production process it was frequent to resort to an obsolete seal when no other valid model could be found.
