Majorcan Bed. Some books also refer to this style as Catalan beds. A wooden bed with a large headboard and floral finish. The wood is gilded and has an sgraffito finish with beadwork and oriental motifs. In the centre is a medallion with the painted image of the Immaculate Virgin.This piece belongs to the bedroom of Isabel, one of the Díaz Velázquez sisters. She was in charge of the office after the death of her father in 1942 and was responsible for correspondence with clients, orders with suppliers and accounting. It is the bedroom with the finest furniture.
