[Caricature of a renowned nationalist writer]

Caricature of Luis Alayza y Paz Soldán (Lima, 1883 - 1976), nationalist writer, member of the Peruvian Academy of Language since 1956. He was a Doctor of Law and of Political and Administrative Sciences. He served as a lawyer, economist, geographer, diplomat, minister, and with a marked literary vocation.
The caricature was created by Julio Mälaga Grenet (Arequipa, 1886 - Lima, 1963), a prolific artist who stood out as a key figure in the development of graphic art at the beginning of the 20th century.
