Casa Malaparte is the epitome of the architectural response to the position to the sea. Although the house seems to be closed in on itself, when you enter it opens as a pure frame to a breathtaking view of the Tyrrhenian Sea. Designed by architect Adalberto Libera in 1938, the house was built on the island of Capri (IT) for publisher Curzio Malaparte. In Jean-Luc Godard's 1963 film "The Contempt", Casa Malaparte as an icon of modern architecture is not only a film set but stars alongside Brigitte Bardot, Michel Piccoli, Fritz Lang and Jack Palance.
