Cassarmonica

The Cassarmonica is a symbol of Castellammare di Stabia and testimony of a typology of structure of which there are few specimens throughout Italy, and not so beautiful as this one. It is also interesting the context in which is the Cassa Armonica, namely the public gardens and the famous promenade of Castellammare, which is being restructured . But unfortunately the Cassarmonica needs more and more attention and this is what is doing our school together with various local associations that is trying to sensitize the municipal administration to a serious restoration.For example, November 27, 2016, the Association of Architects Monti Lattari, intended to raise awareness of citizenship and the municipal administration, on the importance that the Cassa Armonica has had in the history of Castellammare in the last century and its need for a restoration of the monument to its former glory, hosting again concerts and performances that so many times have enlivened the summer evenings of the stabiesi in the last century. This initiative wanted to underline the historical-artistic and architectural importance of the Cassarmonica, unique in terms of size, ornaments and architectural forms, but mainly unique for its acoustic functionality. The state secondary school was also present at this event. through the editing of graphs and historical pamphlets on the monument.
