View from the south-west, in the foreground the roofs of the nearby tenement houses, in the background a post office tower, in the lower right corner the coat of arms of the Legnica-Brzeg Duchy, in the left - floral decoration. The lithography is based on a drawing by Theodor Blätterbauer. The graphic shows the appearance of the castle after the reconstruction from the damage caused by the fire in 1835. The first phase of the reconstruction of the former seat of the princes of Legnica in the neo-Gothic style took place in the years 1838–1840. The project was consulted by the famous Prussian architect Carl Friedrich Schinkel (1781–1841). During the 19th century, further works were carried out. The south wing, clearly visible in the graphics, spared by the fire of 1835, was rebuilt in the years 1844–1846. In 1867, the renovation of the former clock tower, separating both castle courtyards, was completed. In the years 1903–1904, along the southern wing, at the tower of St. Jadwiga, a building in the neo-Renaissance style was erected according to the design of construction counselor Fritz Pfeiffer (1851–1933).
