Chalcosoma atlas

Chalcosoma atlas is named for Atlas, the giant of Greek and Roman mythology who supported the skies, which shows the position of the genus Chalcosoma among beetles. This species is very similar to Chalcosoma caucasus, but without small protuberance on the horns.
