The Chalk Emerald Ring is a 37.8-carat emerald mined from Colombia, and set in a platinum and gold band surrounded by 60 pear-cut diamonds. Designed by Harry Winston, Inc., the Chalk Emerald Ring was donated to the Smithsonian Institution's National Museum of Natural History by Mr. and Mrs. O. Roy Chalk in 1972.
