Charles Federick Hartt Medallion

Bronze medallion with the effigy of Charles Federick Hartt (1840-1878), a Canadian geologist who participated in the Thayer Expedition, as a geologist, and who, in 1870, published the book Geology and physical geography of Brazil. He coordinated the Geological Commission of the Empire of Brazil from 1875 to 1877.
