Children's Day Party

At Refettorio Gastromotiva, food isn’t only used to feed people but as social tool to increase inclusion, creativity and to stimulate community building. During the Children’s Day Party, for instance, children and teenagers had the chance to participate in lollipop-making workshops and to make hamburgers and banana splits with their hands. Thanks to the support of Casa Amarela Providencia, a cultural house that offers everyday activities around art, education and culture for the residents of the oldest favela of Rio de Janeiro, the Refettorio also hosted a dance workshop for youths from the area.
