Andalusian Archives

One of the three choirbooks stolen in Seville in 1968, and recovered and delivered by the American authorities to the Spanish consul in San Francisco as part of the Andalusian Documentary Heritage. As their provenance was not clear, they were deposited in the National Archives of Andalusia. With borders and capital letters illuminated with mudéjar and plateresque motives, the books have wooden boards covered with calfskin.
