Church of Afurada after the renovation works

The building's requalification focused on its exterior maintenance and interior improvement. At the structural level, new spans were torn in the side wall next to the Douro river, ensuring greater natural lighting inside and the symbolic connection with the watercourse. The renovation of the interior elements, such as the ambão, presbytery and baptismal font, seek to further dignify the space. For greater comfort for the community, the lighting and heating system were changed.
